Have you ever returned an item to a store for a refund after having used it?
I returned a netbook a few months ago because it wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. The bitch of it was that as soon as you'd opened the box, you were not entitled to a refund or exchange unless it was faulty. Needless to say it wasn't faulty, but I did get my cash back on my laptop with an "intermittent screen fault" heehee
Today is "Evaluate Your Life Day." So, tell us: how do you think you're life's going so far?
How is my life going so far? Haha :) So far, it's pretty confusing lol
I'm 28 this year, married to an amazing guy who I am very much in love with, ready to have children with him and oh so happy. I am educated and well-traveled, have great friends and family and have had some amazing experiences in the last 28 years. On the other hand, I am about to start a job that will earn me a meagre £12K a year. I rent and cannot afford to buy any time soon, live from paycheck to paycheck and go without most of the time.Oh, and I'm finding my first grey hairs.
The answer is... it's complicated! :)
Who are you dying to see in concert?
I wanna see Sister Hazel again because this time I'd be able to truly appreciate all the songs, not just some of them. The chances of this awesome group touring the UK however, is very slim :(
Do you believe that honesty is the best policy?
Most of the time I believe that honesty is the best policy. I'm pretty good at judging how truthful to be though, which obviously means that full honesty is not always the best policy. I'm not an advocate of lying, I assure you, but tact is something everyone should have.
I went through a phase of needing to be honest with a lot of people and at the time I needed it, despite what the repercussions could potentially be. I do feel that the open, honest truth had some negative results though. Not all people can deal with the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Honesty IS the best policy. But beware of how much honesty you deal out.
What's the best new TV series this fall?
True Blood counts as new to me, because I missed the first season when it was initially on. Glad I persevered through the first episode because I now love it!
I'm liking Flash Forward too. So far so good.
What’s the hardest part about looking for a new job?
Sponsored by Monster.
Companies not acknowledging your application or not giving a closing date. How are people supposed to know if their application has even been received, let alone whether they've been successful enough to be shortlisted? The whole job-seeking scene is a waiting game that can be very, very frustrating. I've learnt this over the past 18 months. A courtesy email would decrease the frustration factor.
How are you financially planning for your future?
Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.
Ummm...I'm not. I'm just living from paycheck to paycheck. :-/
What's the last movie you saw in the theater? Rented?
Theatre: The Time Traveller's Wife
Rented: Casablanca
Liked the first; gave up with the second.
What's one thing you can't say no to?
Two things:
Tony and chocolate.
Why do you love your body?
Sponsored by Body by Victoria®from Victoria's Secret.
Because it's real. Because it's feminine.
I've got curves and breasts and a bum. Lumps and bumps. Podgy bits.
But, I've also got curves in the right places and good legs. Short but good.
When I see celebs or even Average Jane walking down the street, I'm always more attracted to and admire those who have curves, as opposed to the skinny, scrawny, waif-like ones. Curves and breasts FTW! lol
