I have worked my ass off in work this week and it's only Weds. Apart from tomorrow, I have two whole days left and I think I've already used my energy quota for the week. Not sure where I'm going to find the reserves for Friday with the regional manager and Saturday in store.
I have reached my first milestone in the weight stakes. I hit below 11st this morning. That means I have lost one stone exactly. Woohoo! Go me!
I ache. And, I am very sorry, but I've suddenly lost interest in blogging. Hmmmmph. Maybe I'll just trawl through the internet instead. 'Night.
I like the opera singer on America's Got Talent- Neil, I think that's his name. When he hits those notes, I get shivers and goosebumps. Every time.
There was an advert on TV for a magic deodorant for people who perspire profusely/ uncontrollably. It's a miracle perspiration prevention, according to the advert. You only have to apply it twice a week. Am I the only person who thinks that's pretty disgusting...?
I have been introduced to Jam Splits. They are currant-less Welsh Cakes with a spattering of strawberry jam in the middle. I think I could eat them for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper. (I am not contemplating the calorie consumption of that idea.)
I only buy washing powder that has some unique blend of fragrances and ingredients, like Pomegranate and Orange Blossom or Crushed Silk and Jasmine, White Diamond and Lotus Flower or Jasmine and Black Gardenia aka Twilight. It's a sad realisation that I am that taken in by advertising. In my defence, they do make my clothes smell beauuuuuuuuuuutiful :)

I want to have a go of one of those giant inflatable ball things. The ones you can walk in and roll in. It looks pretty cool. I'd like someone to push me down a grassy hill or along the pavement, maybe down a few steps. I'm presuming I'd be protected and it wouldn't hurt. Maybe I'd wear a helmet...

Why, oh why do advertisers think it's a good idea to dub their ads? If it's in another language, I kinda understand (although I still think they are cheapskates). If it's dubbed in English when the actor is obviously speaking English, I don't see the point. Can't you simply choose an actor who's face/ acting ability/ voice all work? Man, it's so infuriating!
I love it when I come across a great blog. I've found one today. As a compliment, I have taken one of his posts (imitation is the best form of flattery, as they say) in the hope that one of the questions will trigger something interesting for me to say. I need a little inspiration.
1. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?
My name is the feminine form of my father's name, so I guess I am named after him.
2. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?
Yesterday while watching Brothers and Sisters. TV always makes me cry. I get too involved with the characters. In 'real life', I haven't cried in a while...I can't even remember the last time I cried...
3. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING?
Not as much as I used to. I used to have pretty, curly, exact writing. I received many a compliment. Nowadays, I'm too lazy for perfection.
4. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LUNCH MEAT?
Ham. I'm kinda boring when it comes to lunch meat. I don't mind spicing it up with a little salami but I'm not a fan of much else in a sandwich...except chicken...oooh chicken.
5. DO YOU HAVE KIDS?
No, but I am desperately seeking them. My sister has recently read The Secret and keeps telling me I need to think positively, to see myself as being pregnant, as giving birth, as holding my baby in my arms. I'm all for positive thinking, but every month that goes by without it happening seems even harder when I've convinced myself that I will get pregnant this month. It's a catch-22 situation I guess.
6. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON, WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU?
Well, if I was the other person, I'd be totally unsociable as I am sometimes. There'd be little hope of us every meeting and feeling sociable at the same time. Therefore the likelihood is slim. However, if our paths should meet on a particularly sociable day, I think we'd like each other. We'd talk about amazing books all day and travelling.

Have you ever known me not to?

I am not a huge eater of cereal but if I have to choose one I'm going to have to go with Crunchy Nut Cornflakes.
11. DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF?

13. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE CREAM?
Chocolate with chocolate bits and chocolate sauce. Can you see a theme starting here...?
14. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE?
Eyes, even though I have a terrible aversion to looking people in the eye. I can't do it mst of the time and when I do I feel like I'm going cross eyed.

Pink. Cerise pink. We were talking about auras today and I've decided that I hope mine's pink (or purple), even though I don't know what that indicates in all honesty.

My skin. I wish it wasn't so purple (even though I like the colour purple).

Not really. I simply filled it in because I needed to write, hoped for some inspiration, sought a release from the writer's block that is the stopper inside my head.

I have on scruffy pink tartan bottoms with a pink bow. I am currently barefoot, but not for long as my toes are rather cold.

If I didn't have to watch sports on TV ever again, I'd survive.

Right now, I'm somewhere near natural. Brown, darkish, with chestnut hints if the light catches it in the right place.

Michelle Blue.

I paid three and a half grand not to.
30. FAVORITE FOODS?
Cheese...bread...chocolate...cheese...bread...

The romantic in me always craves a happy ending.

43. ROLLING STONES OR BEATLES?
Beatles, but only because Tony likes them.
44. WHAT IS THE FARTHEST YOU HAVE BEEN FROM HOME?
Sydney is the furthest, I think. Time wise it's the furthest, so I presume that means distance wise too. Of course it does...doesn't it? *sratches head and looks confused.
45. DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL TALENT?
I remember people's names and random car registrations or telephone numbers from decades ago. The first helps me in my job. The latter two are just weird.
46 WHERE WERE U BORN?
Across the bridge but if anyone asks I just say Wales.
47. FAVORITE PIECE OF JEWELRY?

Hmmmm... that helped a little :)
I have lots to say but none of it worth saying.
- I watched "Into the Wild" a few days ago. It was compelling and literary and hedonistic. I can't stop thinking about it. The ending was emotional and I keep mulling it over in my mind.
- I love my bedroom. On my days off, I don't want to leave it- not in a depressive, reclusive way, but in an it's so pretty and comfy that I don't want to sit anywhere else.
- I am going through a cup of tea slump. I can't make a good one. When someone makes it for me though, it's always good.
- Have Freddie Prince Jr and Sarah Michelle Gellar done anything of note since the late 90s? And in the one random film I've seen the latter in recently, why is she playing a 21 year old? It doesn't work, love.
- I hate when cheese labels state that they are "mature" when they really, really aren't. I bought a block of Davidstow's Mature Cheddar from Morrison's yesterday and it tastes like the mild, boring stuff that Tony likes. Yuck.
- Tony and I are watching Supernatural season 4 and it rocks. Best season so far. I can't believe I actually got bored of it last year.
- I want to eat a chicken dinner. I have been looking forward to it since my boss mentioned that she was going home for her chicken dinner on Sunday evening. I bought everything that would be required to prepare the perfect dinner on Monday afternoon: chicken, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cabbage, parsnips, carrots, Yorkshire puddings. On Monday evening, we had a diner guest and I didn't want to share; on Tuesday, I worked 'til late so couldn't spend time cooking; tonight, Tony came home and fell asleep pretty much straight away and there's not much point making a roast dinner for one- too much time and effort and wastage; tomorrow, I am going to Louise's for dinner and therefore shall not be cooking. Friday. Friday I will have my long-awaited, much-anticipated chicken dinner. And, man, will I enjoy it.
- The original actress that played Ross' ex-wife Carol only lasted a few episodes. She changed after "The One with the Sonogram" (perhaps that was the original lady's only episode, I don't know). Strangely, even though I am so used to Carol the latter, it is easy to imagine Carol the former as the real Carol. I think that makes sense...
- It's Guy Fawkes Night, Bonfire Night, Fireworks Night. Remember, remember the fifth of November and all that. I'm all for fireworks to commemorate the occasion and to entertain the kids, but they've been going on now for aaaaaages. They aren't too loud, just the occasional drumbeat pop and flash in the window. However, just when I think they've stopped completely, another goes off. It's not the end of the world, but it does make me jump a little because it sounds like the front door handle being pushed! That's kind of scary when you're cwtched in the house alone and it's dark outside the window :O
- My sister just rang to see if I was pregnant...weird... and most certainly false. My mum's best mate had heard I was and couldn't get hold of my mum so text my sister to say she knew and was congratulating me. Ummm... do I get any say in this? LOL. I must clarify that I am not pregnant and probably won't be any time soon. I would like to know where these rumours start...
- I woke with a 'sprained' neck over two weeks ago. It has improved, but barely. I am struggling to hold my head up by the end of the night and when I try to sleep, I cannot find a comfortable position to rest my weary head. My muscles ache despite a high Ibuprofen intake each day. And when I get home from work after a busy day, oh boy, don't ask. It's never lasted this long before. It usually lasts a couple of days and then my muscles go back to normal, no more spasms. This time it's different. The pain isn't always muscular. Sometimes, it's an ache in my bones; sometimes it's a click; sometimes it's a 'scraping' feeling. It's becoming rather annoying now though, as you can imagine >:(
He always knows what to say...
Lost? Directions?
Song for today...
Get up, get out, get away from these liars 'cause they don't get your soul or your fire...Take my hand, knot your fingers through mine and we'll walk from this dark room for the last time...Every minute from this minute now, we can do what we like anywhere... I want so much to open your eyes 'cause I need you to look into mine...
